Standing still simply
isn't an option.

Cyber security is one of those fields where technologies change, threats evolve, and new challenges can emerge almost overnight. At the same time, many of the fundamentals — how we protect systems, manage risk, understand vulnerabilities, and build security into the technologies we rely on — require serious study and a strong foundation.

The River Publishers Cyber Security Library was created to bring those two sides of cybersecurity together.

What we offer

Curated, not comprehensive

The Library is a curated collection of books chosen for their relevance to the people working in, researching, teaching, and studying cybersecurity — not simply a large collection with "cybersecurity" attached to it.

Practical and theoretical

Some titles are highly practical, written by people dealing with security challenges every day. Others explore the theory, research, and technologies shaping where cybersecurity is headed. Together they cover the full range.

Close to the field

Our connection to Cyber Security Magazine keeps the book program close to the people actually working on cybersecurity problems, helping us identify subjects while they are still developing.

The magazine connection

An important part of the Library has grown out of our work with Cyber Security Magazine. The magazine gives researchers, practitioners, and industry experts a place to write about what they are seeing now — new threats, new technologies, new approaches, and lessons learned from experience.

Many of those contributors have much more to say than can fit into an article. That is where the books come in.

We are working with magazine contributors and other experts to develop those ideas into books, giving authors the opportunity to go deeper, add practical examples and case studies, explore the research behind their work, and create something that will remain useful long after an individual article is published.

This connection between the magazine and the Library also helps us identify subjects while they are still developing — keeping the book program close to the people actually working on cybersecurity problems, while allowing us to build a collection with the depth expected of a serious academic and professional publisher.

We are looking for authors with something worthwhile to say, subjects that matter, and books that can make a genuine contribution.
